UK Graduate Route Set for Major Change in 2027
The UK plans to reduce the Graduate Route period for Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates from 2 years to 18 months for applications made from 1 January 2027.
PhD graduates will continue to receive 3 years under the Graduate Route.
The UK is also strengthening student sponsor compliance requirements and preparing to rejoin Erasmus+ in 2027, replacing the Turing Scheme.
The changes are expected to influence post-study plans for international students considering the UK as a study destination.
