MEA Plans New Database for Indian Students Abroad
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is planning to create a dedicated database for Indians studying and working abroad.
The initiative aims to improve emergency coordination during global crises and help Indian Embassies provide faster support to students overseas. Students are also being encouraged to register with Indian Embassies and High Commissions in their destination countries.
The move comes amid increasing concerns over student safety during international conflicts and emergency situations.
